About

You’ll know everyone who touches your IT.

We look after over 100 businesses across South Wales, Cardiff and the South West, and we have done since 2011. Small is the point, not a stage we are trying to grow out of.

Why we stay small

The person who audits you is the person who supports you

“The bit that differentiates us is that we’re a small team, and that lets us actually know our customers. The people who do the audit will be the ones supporting you. It’s not a face you’ll never see again.”

Most IT firms our clients were with work the other way round. A salesperson, then an onboarding team, then a first line helpdesk in another country, then a second line you only reach if the first line gives up. Four groups of people, and none of them have a clue how your business operates day to day.

Growing means adding layers, and layers are how a provider stops knowing its clients. We would rather look after over 100 businesses properly than three hundred badly, so the plan is to stay this size and get better rather than bigger.

It has worked since 2011.

The team

A little bit about us

The team you’ll be working with, not a sales team who hand you over once the deal is done. Nobody is hidden behind a support portal, and there is no tier of people to get past before you reach someone who can help.

Tom Briscombe

Tom Briscombe

Founder

Runs the business and still does the work. If we audit your setup, Tom is on it, and he’s there six months later when you need support. Tom is our AI lead and heads up Secure AI, making sure AI is integrated into a business safely and properly.

Passionate about technology and utilising it to make our lives easier. I’ve been taking things apart, and mostly putting them back together, from a young age and that fascination has never stopped.

If I’m not at work then I like to spend my time with my wife, daughter, and son. Or out for a hike in the woods somewhere looking at mushrooms.

Technical Director

Handles most of what comes through the helpdesk. A technical wizard who builds the automation that keeps everything up to date and makes sure nothing gets missed.

Technology has been part of my life since I built my first PC at 15. Two decades later, I’m still just as fascinated by what’s possible when tech is done right.

Whether it’s making my own home as smart as possible or helping South Wales businesses stay secure and efficient, the passion is the same, finding solutions that genuinely work.

That’s what we’ve built Saturday Cloud on: two decades of technical expertise combined with our genuine enthusiasm for helping businesses to grow and get technology right.

Gary Briscombe

Gary Briscombe

Director

Keeps the business side straight, from contracts and billing.

I’ve spent 40 years in tech, 30 of those in sales, and I still enjoy connecting businesses with solutions that actually work for them.

My experience spans the UK and international markets, but what drives me is seeing businesses get access to the same quality service and standards that big corporates take for granted. Every business deserves that, regardless of size.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my grandchildren or exploring the UK with my wife.

Kim Jones

Head of Marketing

Understands what customers need and puts it into non-techy terms.

With a background in community development and person-facing services, I help to keep Saturday Cloud grounded and accessible to those who want technology to work safely for their business, without the jargon and buzzwords.

I look after the behind the scenes essentials: social media, website, bookkeeping, and building relationships beyond the initial sale. Connecting and networking come naturally to me, and I love chatting with people and finding out how Saturday Cloud can genuinely make their day to day easier.

Aside from my work with Saturday Cloud, I’m a non-religious celebrant specialising in deeply personal naming, wedding and funeral ceremonies. Outside of work, my two incredible children and border collie keep me busy. Together we spend plenty of time exploring our local forest, at the beach, and pretty much anywhere outside really. When there’s an hour to spare, I enjoy running up very steep hills and mountains, and rewarding myself with a good coffee afterwards.

How we work

Four things we won’t budge on

Every client hears these before they sign, so none of it is a surprise later. They are the reason some people do not become clients, which is fine.

Unlicensed software goes

Cracked Adobe, cracked AutoCAD, whatever it is. It is a legal problem and a security one, and it is never a budget decision. A business turning over millions can afford the licences. We remove it.

Multi-factor authentication goes on

All of it, including the global admin account. Switching it on is free, so there is no version of this conversation where the answer is no.

You get told what we found

All of it, including the awkward parts and the things the last provider left behind. You get a straight account of your IT rather than a sales document dressed up as an audit.

We’ll tell you not to buy things

If something on the list would not earn its place in your business, we say so. There is no target to hit and nobody here gets paid on what you spend.

Talk to us

Talk to the people who’d actually do the work

No sales team, no discovery process, no handover to somebody else afterwards. Tell us what is going on and you will get a straight answer about whether we can help.

Certified, and checkable

We hold Cyber Essentials ourselves, and we take clients through it to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. It would be a strange thing to sell and not have.

How we think, in our own words

Tom writes these. They are the arguments we would make sitting across a table from you, so they are the fastest way to work out whether we would be a good fit.

Cyber security

Will your cyber insurance actually pay out?

Only if the things you told the insurer you were doing were actually happening on the day you got hit. Your policy schedule lists them: multi-factor authentication, patching, endpoint protection, training, an incident response plan. If one of them was not true, a claim can be refused outright rather than reduced.

Pricing

What does IT support cost per user per month?

Ours is £42, £55 or £72 per user per month excluding VAT, depending on how much security sits in it. Almost nobody in this industry publishes a figure, so any industry average you are quoted is a guess. Here is ours, and what moves it.
